Shobar Aagey Bangladesh: National Photography Contest 2026

Creative Wings Bangladesh presents “Shobar Aagey Bangladesh,” a national photography contest celebrating World Photography Day on 19 August 2026.

Contest Categories

Category A: Travel

This category welcomes photographs featuring:

• Travel destinations across Bangladesh
• Food photographed at travel destinations
• Significant landmarks
• Historical and religious monuments

Selfies, family or children’s activities, and photographs unrelated to the contest categories will not be accepted.

Category B: Nature

This category includes nature-based photography such as:

• Landscapes
• Astrophotography
• Aerial nature photography
• Macro photography of flowers, insects, water droplets and other natural subjects

The presence of any person in the frame will result in disqualification from this category.

Category C: Life

This category focuses on people and their stories. Eligible subjects include:

• Street photography
• People at work
• Everyday life in urban and rural Bangladesh
• Life in informal settlements
• People and activities during rainfall
• Other photographs portraying human experiences and stories

Please note: Photographs considered to portray Bangladesh or its people negatively will be disqualified.

Submission Guidelines

Each participant may submit either:

• Up to three individual photographs; or
• One photo story comprising three photographs

File-Naming Format

For individual photographs:

Photo Title_Your Name_Phone Number.jpg

Example:

Maa o Mati_Hasan Ali_01812345890.jpg

For a photo story:

Story Title_Photo 01_Your Name_Phone Number.jpg

Use Photo 01, Photo 02 and Photo 03 for the three images in the series.

Technical Requirements

• All photographs must be submitted in JPEG format.
• Each photograph must measure at least 3,000 pixels on its longest side.
• Watermarks and digital signatures are not permitted.
• Selected participants may be asked to provide the original RAW file.
• For photographs taken with a mobile phone, the original, unedited file may be requested.
• Failure to provide the requested original file will result in disqualification.

Entry Fee

No entry fee is required.

Image-Usage Terms

Creative Wings Bangladesh reserves the right to use accepted photographs. Appropriate credit will be given to the photographer whenever an image is used.

Awards and Recognition

• The top 10 photographs selected from all categories will receive certificates.
• First-, second- and third-place winners will receive a trophy or medal of honour, a certificate and an honorarium.

Eligibility Restrictions

Employees of Creative Wings Bangladesh, employees of contest sponsors and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Judging and Disqualification

Any attempt to influence the judges or alter their decisions will be treated as a violation of the contest rules and will result in disqualification.
