Digital Photography.

Level:  Beginner Duration:  2 days, 10 – 5.30pm Includes Lunch and Refreshments
Entry requirements: This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in photography.Participants should preferably have a digital camera to participate in the course. For any reason if you don’t have a camera available, you can share our camera during the workshop.
Workshop details: This workshop will develop your understand of how a camera works. This will allow you to understand the different functions and features of your camera.Following topics will be covered during the sessions:

  • Various functions and options of a camera
  • How to take photos in a difficult situation (i.e. backlit subjects, high key, low key subjects).
  • How a camera analyses a scene to set exposure and shutter speed
  • Different concepts of photography (i.e. ISO, Shutter speed, Exposure, Noise, program modes, etc.) and how they affect your final photos
  • How to take eye-catching photos
  • Composition, Depth of Field
  • Camera maintenance

You will take part in various demonstrations, discussions, practical activities and one to one session during the workshop.

 
Equipment required:  Digital Camera (If you don’t have a camera you can share our camera with other participants at a nominal fee of Tk. 100)
Assessment: Ongoing informal tutor and self-assessment.
Tutor : Abir Mallick, FCOT (Lon), PGDip(Lon), PGCE(Lon), MCA(B,lore), Adobe Certified Educator, Chartered London Teacher.With over fifteen years of training and teaching experience in different countries; Abir ( http://www.abirmallick.com ) has trained participants of all ages from primary school to University level. He is a Charted London Teacher award winner for excellence in teaching and learning. He has been working as a tutor for digital image manipulation and photography at several institutions in London for the past ten years. He works as a freelance photojournalist and has undertaken several assignments in commercial and event photography.
